Love is the new like..?

Last week I was listening to some fresh new music and I became curious, so I Googled the artist and ended up liking it’s FB artist page. That’s where I discovered something new (for me): Tracks.by
A Facebook application designed for social media marketing and content distribution which allows artists to build their own businesses. You might think what’s so special about that? True, there are other apps available already, for example Bandpage by Rootmusic. But there is a smart difference!
Tracks.by/
Tracks.by creates custom FB tabs for your artist page(s) and lets you easily manage the content and settings at any time. Some featured users are Diddy, Lil Wayne, Nas and PillowTalk.
For whom?
You can create as many tabs as you want. The interface allows you to manage an unlimited number of artists at the same time, which makes it an interesting application for A&R-managers/agencies.
Tracks.by provides you a sort of fangate. It’s possible to require your fans to like your page before they can play your videos and tracks. An easy way to increase your likes and next to that the app integrates YouTube, VEVO and SounCloud content, so these social media channels will increase in traffic as well.
Like LOVE tracks of favourite artists
Most fangate applications just want you to like a page and then you’ll get ‘exclusive’ content. A quick way to get more reach. But what happens then? Here is where tracks.by comes in: The ability to ‘love’ an artist. A special button in the custom FB tab. By clicking you give the artist permission to let him/her send you direct updates on new music and/or videos by mail. A more direct way to interact with fans! This feature is very smart, in a world where more and more companies and people are battling for more likes on their FB page. In my case, this results in an information overload.
Since I’m into music a lot, I try to follow as much of my favorite artists/dj’s by liking them on FB. Nowadays the problem is that I like so many pages, sometimes I can’t see the forest for the trees anymore. Tracks.might have solved this problem in a smart way and still uses the viral power of FB!
So, get liked, loved AND Viral. Read more here.
